Our mission

Nightmare on Romscho Street is a FREE event with a goal that's quite simple; to provide a fun and safe place for children and adults to enjoy Halloween without the dangers of traffic; and to help children, families, seniors and disabled adults in need, in and around our Bethpage Community and all of Long Island.

***2015 UPDATE***

COME CREEP OUR STREET, IF YOU DARE, but our EVENT IS CANCELLED!

THESE ARE THE FACTS IN A NUTSKULL:

Initially our permits were delayed due to new procedures.

While waiting, someone called in a complaint about our event.

As a result, we were informed that our Liability Insurance needed to be changed.

This in turn meant that the permits also needed to be changed.

There was no guarantee the permits could be changed, and especially on such short notice.

Meanwhile someone else complained about our event. At that point, WE...AS A COMMITTEE AGREED that cancelling the event (Food & Music) was our best course of action.

It was also our safest course of action. There were just too many unknowns to move forward. This included the motivation behind those who complained about our event that forced the changes in the first place.

There are no barricades to stop traffic, so please use caution if you stop by!

WE WILL STILL ACCEPT DONATIONS FOR A FEW GREAT CAUSES & CHARITIES

BE SAFE AT HOME 501(c)(3) in memory of our dearly departed friend and neighbor Mildred Vogel
and The BETHPAGE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION 501 (c)(3).

100% of all donations will help local families!
Donations accepted on the street and right here...as little or as much as you can comfortably give. Every single dollar counts!
